Monitored sedation involves your anaesthesiologist administering a lower dose of anaesthetic medication. This relaxes and allows you to sleep, especially for minor and quick procedures that do not require a full general anaesthetic.

At the end of the procedure, you may not remember but your anaesthesiologist would have been with you for the entirety of the procedure, ensuring your safety until you wake up.
